🇺🇳🇱🇺 While August is known to be a calmer time in Rome, Ambassador Schiltz had a productive meeting today with WFP’s Public Partnerships Director Antoine Renard. The discussion focused on the changing landscape and challenges the humanitarian sector currently faces and how Luxembourg and WFP continue to collaborate in the global fight against hunger. Our strong partnership is characterised by flexible and quality funding, technical and financial support to the use of AI and new technologies in humanitarian aid as well as the joint exploration of innovative humanitarian finance solutions.

A challenging yet rewarding experience that culminated in the adoption of the Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Livestock and significant progress on the One Health approach, the fight against antimicrobial resistance, transboundary animal diseases, and climate and biodiversity strategies.

📣 Research residency for architects, architectural researchers, illustrators and authors at Academia Belgica in Rome, 2027 Deadline for submission: 02/10/2026 🇬🇧 Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Embassy in Rome, in partnership with the Academia Belgica, Centre for History, Arts and Sciences in Rome (AB), is offering a research residency for Luxembourgish or living in Luxembourg authors (writers, curators, composers, playwrights), illustrators, architects and architectural researchers (PhD Level minimum) for at least 4 weeks and up to 8 weeks, based on a call for applications. The aim of this residency is to help architects, architectural researchers, illustrators and authors in the broadest sense immerse themselves in the Roman environment and to encourage networking within the local art scene and with other academies and research institutes, contributing in the long run to the development of their professional career. La residenza avrà una durata minima di 4 settimane e massima di 8 settimane (le date saranno concordate con l’Academia Belgica). L’obiettivo della residenza è offrire ad architetti, ricercatori in architettura, illustratori e autori, nel senso più ampio del termine, l’opportunità di immergersi nel contesto romano, favorendo al contempo la creazione di reti professionali con la scena artistica locale e con altre accademie e istituti di ricerca. L’iniziativa intende contribuire, nel lungo periodo, allo sviluppo del loro percorso professionale.
